1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Initial Connection

Before connecting your Blu-ray player, ensure all components are present:

  • Sony BDP-BX38 Blu-ray Player
  • Remote Control
  • HDMI Cable

To connect the player to your television:

  1. Connect one end of the supplied HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the back of the Blu-ray player.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an available HDMI IN port on your television.
  3. Connect the power cable to the 12V power input on the back of the player, then plug the other end into a wall outlet.

2.2 Network Connection

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Disc Playback

  2. Press the Eject button (triangle with a line below) on the front panel to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a Blu-ray disc or DVD onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  4. Press the Eject button again to close the disc tray. The player will automatically begin loading the disc.

3.2 Remote Control

The player comes with a remote control for convenient operation. It requires two AAA batteries (not included). To install batteries:

  1. Slide open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.
