Setup

1. Charging the Keyboard

Locate the mini USB charging port on the keyboard.
Connect the included USB charging cable to the keyboard's charging port.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
Allow the keyboard to charge fully before first use. The charging indicator light will typically change color or turn off when charging is complete.

The keyboard can be used while charging.

2. Pairing with a Device

Ensure the keyboard is fully charged.
Slide the power switch on the keyboard to the ON position.
Press the Connect button on the keyboard. The Bluetooth indicator light will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
On your Apple device (iPad, iPhone, iPod, Mac), navigate to Settings > Bluetooth.
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
Your device will search for available Bluetooth devices. Select "iHome Keyboard" or a similar name from the list.
If prompted, enter the PIN code displayed on your device's screen using the iHome keyboard and press Enter.
Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing and remain solid, or turn off, depending on the model. Your device will show the keyboard as "Connected."

For subsequent uses, the keyboard should automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on and within range.

Basic Typing

Use the keyboard as you would a standard computer keyboard. The layout includes alphanumeric keys, number keys, and common punctuation.

The top row of keys (F1-F12) often includes special functions when used in combination with the fn key. These functions may vary slightly depending on the connected device and operating system version.
