Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee maker.

1. Daily Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Remove and empty the filter basket. Wash it in warm, soapy water or place it on the top rack of a dishwasher.
  3. Remove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly. If necessary, wash with warm, soapy water.
  4. Clean the drip tray and its cover with warm, soapy water.
  5. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

2. Descaling

Mineral deposits from water can build up over time and affect performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-3 months).

  1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent).
  2. Pour the solution into the water tank.
  3. Run a brewing cycle without coffee grounds.
  4. After the cycle, run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse the system thoroughly.

3. Water Filter Replacement

The DuoFilter water filter should be replaced approximately every 2 months or after 60 brewing cycles, whichever comes first, to maintain optimal water quality and coffee taste. Refer to the filter packaging for specific replacement instructions.
