Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare Mounting Surface: Ensure the mounting surface on your towed vehicle is clean, dry, and free of debris. The magnetic bases require a flat, metallic surface for secure attachment.
  2. Position Lights: Place the magnetic tow lights on the rear of the towed vehicle. Ensure they are spaced approximately 7 feet apart, as dictated by the integrated wiring, and provide clear visibility to other drivers. The scratch-resistant magnetic base protects vehicle finishes.
  3. Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the 4-pin connector of the 20 ft. wiring harness to the corresponding 4-pin connector on your towing vehicle (e.g., car, truck, RV). Ensure the connection is secure and fully seated.
  4. Route Wiring: Carefully route the wiring harness from the tow lights to the towing vehicle, ensuring it does not drag on the ground, interfere with moving parts, or become pinched. Use cable ties if necessary to secure excess wiring.
  5. Test Functionality: Before driving, test all light functions. Have an assistant verify that the brake lights illuminate when the brake pedal is pressed and that the amber flashers activate with the turn signals.
