Setup Instructions
The Intex Rectangular Frame Pool is designed for easy assembly, typically ready for water in approximately 30 minutes. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Prepare the Site: Select a firm, level area free of sharp objects, debris, and excessive slopes. A level surface is critical for the pool's stability and longevity.
- Lay Out Pool Liner: Unfold the pool liner and lay it flat on the prepared ground. Ensure the drain plug is positioned where water can be conveniently drained away from your house or other structures.
- Assemble the Frame: The pool is supported by strong, durable steel frames which are powder-coated for rust resistance. The innovative T-joints allow for tool-free assembly. Connect the frame components according to the included instructional DVD. Ensure all connections are snug to prevent bowing of the sides once filled.
- Secure Sidewalls: The laminated sidewalls are reinforced with an all-around band to keep frame legs firmly in place, enhancing the pool's structural integrity.
- Connect Drain Plug: The convenient drain plug connects to a standard garden hose for easy water drainage.

Operating the Pool
Once assembled, the pool is ready for filling and enjoyment.
- Filling: Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, ensure the liner settles evenly and the frame remains stable. The pool has a water capacity of approximately 439 gallons.
- Water Level: Fill the pool to the recommended water line, typically indicated on the liner or in the instructional DVD. Do not overfill.
- Drainage: To drain the pool, attach a garden hose to the convenient drain plug. This allows water to be directed away from the pool area.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygiene of your pool. Please note that a liner, filter pump, cover, or ladder are not included with this product and must be acquired separately for comprehensive maintenance.
- Water Quality: Regularly test and treat pool water to maintain proper chemical balance and prevent algae growth.
- Cleaning: Use a pool vacuum or net to remove debris from the water. Wipe down the interior of the liner as needed.
- Filter System: If using a filter pump (sold separately), ensure it is cleaned and maintained according to its specific instructions.
- Liner Care: The pool features a 3-ply sidewall liner made of high-strength polyester mesh and extra-thick PVC layers, designed to be puncture-resistant and durable. Inspect the liner periodically for any signs of wear or damage.

The 3-ply sidewall liner provides strength and durability.

The Super Tough material ensures puncture resistance.
Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
- Water Leakage: If you notice water leaking, first check the drain plug and hose connections for tightness. Inspect the liner for any visible punctures or tears. Patch kits (sold separately) can be used for minor repairs.
- Bowing Sides: If the pool sides appear to bow, it may indicate that the ground is not perfectly level or the frame connections are not sufficiently snug. This should be addressed before fully filling the pool.
- Unstable Frame: Ensure all frame components are fully inserted and locked into their respective T-joints. The laminated sidewalls are designed to keep frame legs firmly in place.
