Setup
1. Unpacking and Battery Installation
Carefully remove the scale from its packaging.
Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert 3 AAA batteries (included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Initial Placement
Place the scale on a firm, flat, and level surface. Uneven or soft surfaces (like carpet) can affect accuracy. Ensure all four feet of the scale are in full contact with the floor.
3. Unit Selection (kg/lb)
On the underside of the scale, locate the unit switch. Select your preferred unit of measurement: kilograms (kg) or pounds (lb).
4. Setting Up User Profiles (for Automatic Recognition and BMI)
The scale can automatically recognize up to 5 users. To enable this feature and calculate BMI, initial setup is required for each user:
- Press the "SET" button.
- Use the arrow buttons (up/down) to select a user profile number (P1-P5).
- Confirm with "SET".
- Enter your height using the arrow buttons and confirm with "SET".
- Repeat for other users.
Note: The exact button names and sequence might vary slightly. Refer to the markings on your specific scale.
Operating Instructions
1. Taking a Weight Measurement
Step onto the scale with bare feet. The scale will automatically turn on. Stand still on the scale, distributing your weight evenly. Your weight will be displayed. If a user profile is set up, the scale will attempt to recognize you and display your BMI and weight trend. The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity.
2. Automatic User Recognition
After initial setup, the scale will attempt to identify the user based on their current weight and previously stored data. If recognized, your personal data (weight, BMI, trend) will be displayed. If multiple users have similar weights, the scale might prompt you to select your profile using the arrow buttons.
3. BMI Calculation
Once your height is entered in your user profile, the scale will calculate and display your Body Mass Index (BMI) after each measurement.
4. Trend Display
The scale features a trend display, showing the difference between your current weight and a previously stored weight (e.g., desired weight or last recorded weight). This helps monitor progress.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Clean the scale surface with a damp cloth and a mild detergent if necessary. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.
2. Storage
Store the scale in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.
3. Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace all 3 AAA batteries with new ones. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
