3.2 Oiling the Blades

Before first use, and periodically thereafter, apply a few drops of the included blade oil to the teeth of the trimmer blades. This helps maintain optimal cutting performance and extends blade life.

  1. Turn the trimmer on for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly.
  2. Turn the trimmer off and wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Attaching Guide Combs

The trimmer comes with multiple guide combs to achieve different trimming lengths. To attach a guide comb:

  1. Ensure the trimmer is turned off.
  2. Align the desired guide comb with the trimmer blade and push it firmly until it snaps into place.
  3. To remove, gently lift the back of the comb and slide it off the blade.

4.2 Trimming Techniques

For best results, ensure hair is clean and dry before trimming. Always trim against the direction of hair growth.

  • For Moustaches and Beards: Use a guide comb for desired length. Start with a longer comb and gradually move to shorter lengths if a closer trim is desired. Move the trimmer in smooth, even strokes.
  • For Sideburns and Necklines: Use the trimmer without a guide comb for precise edging and clean lines. Hold the trimmer at a slight angle and gently press against the skin, moving downwards.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Blades

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene:

  1. Turn off the trimmer and remove any attached guide comb.
  2. Use the included cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blades.
  3. For a more thorough clean, the blades can be carefully detached (refer to the instruction manual for specific blade removal steps if applicable) and rinsed under running water. Ensure blades are completely dry before reattaching.

5.2 Oiling the Blades

After every few uses or if the trimmer starts to pull hair, apply 2-3 drops of Wahl blade oil across the top of the blades. Turn the trimmer on for a few seconds to distribute the oil, then wipe off excess.

5.3 Storage

Store the trimmer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
