4.1 Front Panel

  • Speaker Outputs (Left/Right): Connect passive speakers using banana plugs or bare wire.
  • Input I, II, III (RCA Stereo): Connect audio sources with RCA outputs.

5. Setup

5.1 Connecting Speakers

  1. Ensure the amplifier is powered off.
  2. Connect your passive speakers to the Speaker Outputs on the rear panel. Match the positive (+) terminal on the amplifier to the positive (+) terminal on your speaker, and the negative (-) to the negative (-).
  3. You can use banana plugs or bare speaker wire. For bare wire, unscrew the terminal cap, insert the wire, and tighten the cap securely.

5.2 Connecting Audio Sources

  1. For devices with RCA outputs (e.g., CD player, DVD player, turntable with pre-amp), connect them to Input I, II, or III using RCA cables.
  2. For devices with a 3.5mm stereo output (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player), connect them to the Input IV jack on the front panel using a 3.5mm stereo cable.

5.3 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided AC adapter to the DC IN (+12V === 3A) port on the rear panel.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a suitable wall outlet.

5.4 PC Integration (Optional)

The Kama Bay AMP 2000 Rev B can be installed into a 5.25-inch drive bay of a PC case. Use the included PC mounting hardware for this installation. The amplifier also features a connection to synchronize its power state with your PC's power supply, allowing it to turn on and off with your computer.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Press the Power Button on the front panel to turn the amplifier on. The VU meters will illuminate. Press it again to turn the amplifier off.

6.2 Selecting Input

Rotate the Input Selector knob on the front panel to choose the desired audio source (Input I, II, III, or IV).

6.3 Adjusting Volume

Turn the Volume Control knob clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

6.4 Using Headphone Output

Plug your headphones into the Phones Jack on the front panel. This will typically mute the speaker output.

6.5 Mute Function

Press the Mute Button to temporarily silence the audio output. Press it again to restore the sound.

6.6 Bass and Treble Control

Use the dedicated Bass and Treble knobs to fine-tune the low and high frequencies of your audio output to your preference.

6.7 USB Power Ports

The front and rear USB ports are for charging compatible devices or powering low-current USB accessories. They do not transmit audio data.
