What's in the Box

  • Two (2) BAL 23200 Foot Pads (4" x 4" each)
  • Mounting Hardware (Bolts and Locking Nuts)

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install the BAL 23200 Foot Pads onto your C Jacks:

  1. Identify Attachment Point: Locate the designated attachment holes on the lower portion of your BAL Style "C" Jack leg.
  2. Align Foot Pad: Position one foot pad against the jack leg, ensuring the holes on the pad align with the holes on the jack.
  3. Insert Hardware: Insert the provided bolt through the aligned holes. If the fit is tight, a rubber mallet may be used to gently tap the bolt through.
  4. Secure with Nut: Attach the locking nut to the bolt on the opposite side.
  5. Adjust Tightness: Important: Do not overtighten the bolt. Leave it slightly loose to allow the foot pad to pivot freely. This free movement is crucial for proper deployment and retraction of the jack.
  6. Repeat: Perform the same steps for the second foot pad on the other C Jack.

Ensure both foot pads can swing freely before operating your jacks.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the BAL 23200 Foot Pads integrate seamlessly with your C Jacks. When extending your jacks, the foot pads will pivot into position, providing a larger, more stable base. Before applying full load to the jacks, visually confirm that the foot pads are flat and fully supported on the ground or surface. This increased surface area helps to distribute weight more effectively, preventing the jack from sinking into soft ground and enhancing overall stability for your RV or trailer.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BAL 23200 Foot Pads, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the foot pads and all mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, cracks, or corrosion.
  • Pivot Mechanism: Ensure the pivot mechanism remains free and clear of dirt, mud, or other debris that could impede its movement. Clean as necessary.
  • Cleaning: Clean the foot pads with mild soap and water as needed to remove accumulated grime.
  • Hardware Check: Verify that the mounting bolts and locking nuts are secure, but still allow for the necessary pivot action. Replace any worn or damaged hardware immediately.

Troubleshooting

  • Foot Pad Not Pivoting Freely: If a foot pad does not swing freely, check if the mounting bolt is overtightened. Loosen it slightly to allow for proper movement. Ensure no debris is obstructing the pivot point.
  • Foot Pad Appears Loose or Wobbly: Verify that the locking nut is securely fastened to the bolt. If the hardware appears worn or damaged, replace it with appropriate components.
