Product Overview
The Technoline WD 4002 Weather Station provides regional weather forecasts from professional meteorologists via a dedicated wireless network. It also displays local outdoor temperature transmitted by an 868 MHz radio emitter with a range of up to 100 meters.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
For the Outdoor Transmitter:
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor transmitter.
- Insert 2x AA (LR06) batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
For the Base Station:
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the base station.
- Insert 2x C (LR14) batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
2. Initial Synchronization
After inserting batteries, the base station will automatically begin searching for the outdoor transmitter and the radio time signal. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure the outdoor transmitter is within range of the base station.
3. Sensor Placement
Place the outdoor transmitter in a sheltered location outside, away from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature readings. The maximum transmission range is up to 100 meters in open areas.
The base station can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall using the integrated hanging hole.
Operating Instructions
Time and Date Display
The station receives time and date information via a radio signal. The display shows the current time, date, and day of the week.
Temperature Display
The base station displays both indoor temperature (measured by the base unit) and outdoor temperature (transmitted by the outdoor sensor).
Weather Forecast
The WD 4002 provides a 4-day weather forecast, divided into four daily sections: morning, afternoon, evening, and night. This forecast includes weather conditions, trends, and predicted maximum and minimum temperatures.
You can choose between several display modes:
- Selected daily section forecast
- Continuous forecast display
- Forecast for the next daily section
Alarm Function
The device includes an alarm with a snooze function. Refer to the specific buttons on your device for setting and activating the alarm.
LCD Contrast Adjustment
The LCD contrast can be adjusted for optimal readability under various lighting conditions. Consult the device's buttons for this setting.

Troubleshooting

- Reduce obstacles between the sensor and base station (e.g., thick walls, large metal objects, other electronic devices).
- Try re-synchronizing by removing and reinserting batteries in both units, starting with the outdoor sensor.
Incorrect Time Display
- Ensure the base station is placed in a location where it can receive a clear radio signal. Avoid placing it near electronic devices that may cause interference.
- The initial synchronization for time can take several minutes. Allow sufficient time for the signal to be acquired.
Inaccurate Weather Forecast
- The weather forecast is regional and provided by professional meteorologists. Ensure your device is correctly receiving the wireless network signal.
- Important Note: This station is designed for use only in Germany due to its local network dependency. Operation outside Germany may result in inaccurate or no weather forecast data.
