Setup Instructions

1. Site Preparation

Select a firm, level surface for your pool. The area should be free of sharp objects, debris, and excessive vegetation. Consider sun exposure, proximity to a power outlet for the pump, and drainage. A ground cloth or tarp is recommended beneath the pool liner for added protection.

2. Pool Assembly

  1. Unfold the pool liner and lay it flat on the prepared, level ground. Ensure the drain plug is closed.
  2. Identify the horizontal frame bars and T-joint connectors. The horizontal bars are generally larger in diameter than the vertical legs.
  3. Slide the horizontal bars through the sleeves at the top edge of the pool liner.
  4. Connect the horizontal bars using the T-joint connectors. Start at one end and work your way around the pool. The final T-joint connection may require additional effort due to tension; assistance from another person is recommended.
  5. Insert the vertical support legs into the bottom of each T-joint connector. Ensure they are securely seated and the pool frame is stable.

3. Filter Pump Connection

Connect the filter pump to the designated inlet and outlet ports on the pool liner using the provided hoses and clamps. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Before starting the pump, ensure it is filled with water to purge any air.

4. Filling the Pool

Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the liner by walking gently across the pool floor. Stop filling when the water reaches the recommended fill line, typically just below the top horizontal bar.

Operating Instructions

1. Filter Pump Operation

The included Krystal Clear™ Cartridge Filter Pump (Model C330) is designed to circulate and filter the pool water. It pumps 330 gallons (1,249 L) per hour. Operate the pump for 2-10 hours daily, depending on usage and water clarity, to maintain optimal filtration. Always ensure the pump is connected to a 110-120 voltage GFCI outlet.

2. Water Chemistry

Maintaining proper water chemistry is essential for a clean and safe pool. Regularly test your pool water using a DPD test kit for chlorine and pH levels. Adjust chemicals as needed:

  • Chlorine: Use liquid chlorine (bleach) or stabilized chlorine tablets in a floater. Sunlight breaks down unstabilized chlorine, so stabilizer may be needed.
  • pH: Use muriatic acid to lower pH or soda ash to raise pH.
  • Stabilizer: If using unstabilized chlorine, add cyanuric acid (stabilizer) to protect chlorine from UV degradation.

3. Hydro Aeration Technology

This pool features Hydro Aeration Technology, which enhances water quality through:

  • Advanced Circulation: Injecting air into the water accelerates circulation, causing fine particles to cluster for more effective filtration.
  • Improved Clarity: Aeration removes minerals through oxidation, leading to clearer water.
  • Increased Freshness: More negative ions are generated by activating air bubbles, improving overall air quality around the pool.

Maintenance

1. Regular Cleaning

  • Skimming: Use a pool net to regularly remove leaves, insects, and other debris from the water surface.
  • Vacuuming: Periodically vacuum the pool bottom to remove settled debris.
  • Filter Cartridge: Clean the filter cartridge regularly by rinsing it with a garden hose. Replace the cartridge every two weeks or when it remains dirty after cleaning.

2. Winterization

At the end of the swimming season, properly prepare your pool for winter storage to prolong its lifespan:

  • Drain the pool completely.
  • Clean and dry the pool liner and all frame components thoroughly.
  • Disassemble the frame and store all parts in a dry, protected area, away from extreme temperatures.
  • Store the filter pump indoors in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.
