Maintenance
Cleaning the Camera
- Camera Body: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a cloth lightly dampened with water.
- Lens: Use a lens blower to remove dust, then gently wipe with a lens cleaning cloth and lens cleaning solution if necessary. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
- Sensor: Sensor cleaning should be performed with extreme care. If dust spots appear on images, use the camera's built-in sensor cleaning function or consult a professional service center.
- LCD Monitor: Gently wipe with a soft cloth.
Storage
When not in use, store the camera in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
- Camera does not power on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
- Check if the battery compartment cover is securely closed.
- Images are blurry:
- Check if the lens is properly attached and clean.
- Ensure the focus mode is set correctly (Autofocus or Manual Focus).
- Verify that the shutter speed is fast enough to prevent camera shake, especially in low light.
- Memory card error:
- Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly.
- Try formatting the memory card (note: this will erase all data).
- Test with a different, compatible memory card.
- Flash does not fire:
- Check flash settings; ensure it's not set to "Flash Off".
- In some shooting modes (e.g., Scene Intelligent Auto), the flash may not fire if sufficient ambient light is detected.
