3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Battery Charging

The vehicle includes one 12-volt rechargeable battery and a charger. Before initial use, the battery must be charged for a minimum of 18 hours. Do not charge for more than 30 hours to avoid damage to the battery.

  • Connect the charger to the battery.
  • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  • Allow the battery to charge for the recommended time.
  • Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.

4. Operating Instructions

The Power Wheels Dune Racer is designed for intuitive operation, allowing children to easily control their ride.

4.1 Starting and Driving

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly connected.
  • Children should be seated comfortably with hands on the steering wheel and feet on the foot pedal.
  • To move forward, press the foot pedal. The vehicle has two forward speeds: 2.5 mph (beginner) and 5 mph (expert). The higher speed can be restricted by a screw located on the left side of the gear shift.
  • To move in reverse, shift the gear lever to the reverse position and press the foot pedal. The reverse speed is 2.5 mph.

4.2 Steering and Braking

  • Steer the vehicle using the steering wheel. The turning radius is designed for open spaces.
  • The Power Lock Brake System automatically engages when the foot pedal is released, bringing the vehicle to a quick stop. There is no separate brake pedal.
