Setup
1. Battery Installation
The SentrySafe P008E requires four (4) AA alkaline batteries (not included) for the electronic lock to function. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the safe's lid.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert four new AA alkaline batteries, matching the (+) and (-) indicators.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Setting Your Personal Code
Upon first use, you will need to set your personal electronic access code.
- With the safe open, press the red programming button located inside the battery compartment. The yellow light on the keypad will illuminate.
- Enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' button to confirm your new code. The yellow light will flash and then turn off, indicating successful programming.
- Test your new code with the safe door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

Operating Instructions
Opening the Safe
There are two methods to open your SentrySafe P008E:
Using the Electronic Code:
- Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' button.
- The green light will illuminate, and you will hear a click. Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe within 5 seconds.
Using the Override Key:
In case of forgotten code or dead batteries, the override key can be used.
- Insert the override key into the keyhole located on the keypad panel.
- Turn the key clockwise.
- Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe.
Changing the Electronic Code
You can change your personal code at any time.
- Open the safe.
- Press the red programming button inside the battery compartment. The yellow light will illuminate.
- Enter your new 3-8 digit code.
- Press the '#' button to confirm. The yellow light will flash and turn off.
- Test the new code with the safe open.
Using the Tethering Cable
The included steel tethering cable provides an additional layer of security by allowing you to secure the safe to a fixed object.
- Locate the tethering cable attachment point on the back of the safe.
- Thread the loop end of the cable through the attachment point.
- Wrap the cable around a secure, immovable object (e.g., a car seat frame, a desk leg).
- Pass the safe through the loop of the cable to secure it.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries annually or when the keypad lights dim or fail to illuminate. Always use new AA alkaline batteries.
- If the batteries are completely drained, use the override key to open the safe.
- Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup' section.
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and function of your safe:
