The G26000 can remain safely connected 24/7 to maintain batteries without overcharging. Its onboard microcomputer monitors battery activity for safe and efficient charging, automatically minimizing energy consumption.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from AC power and the battery before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure cables are neatly coiled to prevent damage.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect the charging cables and clamps for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. Replace if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Charger Not Turning On: Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a live outlet. Check for tripped circuit breakers.
  • No Charge Indication: Verify that the battery clamps are correctly connected to the battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative). The G26000 features reverse polarity protection, indicated by an error LED if connected incorrectly.
  • Charger Not Sensing Battery (for deeply discharged batteries): If the battery voltage is extremely low (e.g., 0 volts), the charger may not immediately detect it. Try using the Jump Charge feature for 5 minutes to raise the battery voltage, then attempt normal charging. Repeat if necessary.
  • Error LED Flashing: The Error LED and Standby LED will flash to indicate specific error conditions. Refer to the user guide for a detailed list of flash codes and their meanings. Common errors include reverse polarity, low-voltage battery, or internal fault.
  • Slow Charging: Ensure the correct charging mode is selected for your battery type and voltage. Verify that the battery capacity is within the charger's capabilities (up to 500Ah).
