Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the camera's lithium-ion battery using the provided charger. Insert the battery into the charger, then plug the charger into a power outlet. The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when complete.

2. Inserting a Memory Card

Open the battery/card compartment cover. Insert a compatible SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation. Close the cover securely.

3. Attaching the Wrist Strap

Attach the included wrist strap to the camera for added security during use. This helps prevent accidental drops.

Operating the Camera

Powering On/Off

To turn the camera on or off, slide the ON/OFF switch located on the top of the camera.

Shooting Modes

The PowerShot ELPH 100 HS offers various shooting modes, including Smart AUTO and Program (P) mode.
Smart AUTO: This mode intelligently analyzes the scene and automatically selects the optimal settings for your shot. It simplifies photography, allowing you to focus on composition.
