5.2. Battery Care
- Remove batteries when the camera will not be used for an extended period.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- If using rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, follow the manufacturer's charging instructions.
5.3. Storage
When storing the camera for long periods, remove batteries and memory card. Store the camera in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Camera does not turn on: Check if batteries are correctly inserted and charged. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed.
- Cannot take pictures: Ensure a memory card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Check if the lens cap (if applicable) is removed.
- Images are blurry: Check if the lens is clean. Ensure the camera is held steady or use Digital Image Stabilization. Verify that the focus mode is appropriate for your subject.
- Flash does not fire: Check the flash mode settings. Ensure it's not set to 'Flash Off'.
- Video audio/video sync issues (especially at 640 resolution): Some users have reported audio and video becoming severely out of sync when recording videos at 640 resolution after approximately 1 minute and 15 seconds. This issue does not typically occur at 720p resolution. If experiencing this, try recording at 720p resolution.
- Battery drains quickly: Ensure you are using fresh or fully charged batteries. Frequent use of flash or continuous video recording can deplete batteries faster.
