2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup and Installation
The Comelit Genius monitor is designed for wired installation. Professional installation is highly recommended.
4.1 Wall Mounting
- Prepare the Location: Choose a suitable indoor location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure there is adequate space for wiring.
- Disconnect Power: Before beginning any wiring, ensure that the main power supply to the intercom system is completely disconnected at the circuit breaker.
- Install Mounting Bracket: Securely attach the Comelit mounting bracket (Art. 5814 C, sold separately) to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors. Ensure it is level and firmly fixed.
- Connect Wiring: Carefully connect the intercom system wires to the terminals on the monitor, following the wiring diagram provided with your specific intercom system's main unit. Pay close attention to polarity.
- Mount the Monitor: Align the monitor with the installed mounting bracket and gently push it into place until it clicks securely.
- Connect Handset: Plug the coiled cord of the handset into the designated port on the monitor.
- Restore Power: Once all connections are secure and the monitor is mounted, restore power to the intercom system.
4.2 Desktop Conversion (Optional)
The Comelit Genius monitor can be converted for desktop use with the optional desktop conversion kit (Comelit Art. 5712, sold separately). Follow the instructions provided with the conversion kit for proper assembly.

5. Operation

5.3 Adjusting Call Volume

- An adjustment dial is available on the monitor to control the brightness of the 4-inch screen.
