4.1. Preparing for Lamination

  • Select Pouch Thickness: The GBC H318 supports various pouch thicknesses, typically 2 x 75 microns, 2 x 100 microns, and 2 x 125 microns. Select the appropriate setting on the control panel for your chosen pouch.
  • Wait for Ready Indicator: Allow the laminator to preheat until the "Ready" indicator light illuminates. This ensures optimal lamination quality.
  • Prepare Document: Place your document centrally inside the laminating pouch, ensuring it is straight and there is an even border around the edges.

4.2. Lamination Process

  1. Insert Pouch: Feed the sealed edge of the laminating pouch into the laminator's entry slot. Ensure it is inserted straight and centered.
  2. Automatic Feeding: The laminator will automatically pull the pouch through. Do not push or pull the pouch during the lamination process.
  3. Collection: Once the laminated document exits the machine, place it on a flat surface to cool and harden.
  4. Release Button: If a pouch jams or is misfed, press the "Release" button (if available) to disengage the rollers and carefully pull the pouch out.
