Setup

1. Unpacking the Scanner

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

Retain the original packaging for future transportation or storage.

2. Connecting the Scanner

  1. Place the scanner on a stable, flat surface near your computer.
  2. Connect the USB cable from the scanner's USB port to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the scanner's power input, then plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  4. Press the Power button on the scanner. The power indicator light should illuminate.

3. Driver and Software Installation

For optimal performance, install the latest drivers and scanning software.

  1. Using the Installation CD: Insert the provided CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. Downloading Drivers: If your computer does not have a CD/DVD drive or for the latest versions, visit the official Avision support website and download the drivers and software for the FB5000 model.
  3. Follow the installation wizard prompts. Restart your computer if prompted after installation is complete.

  1. Open your preferred scanning application (e.g., Avision Button Manager, TWAIN-compliant software).
  2. Select the Avision FB5000 as your scanner.

  4. Place the document on the scanner glass.
  5. Initiate the scan from the software or by pressing the "Scan" button on the scanner's control panel.
