4. Setup and Assembly

The Homecraft Grab Rail is supplied flat-packed for convenient transport and easy assembly. It can be installed on either the right or left side of your bed.

4. Position on Bed: Slide the base frame of the grab rail under your mattress. The wider section of the frame (24.5 to 12.75 inches / 620 to 325 mm) should be positioned under the mattress for stability.
5. Secure Installation: Once positioned, ensure the grab rail is flush against the side of the bed. If your model includes a securing strap, thread it around the bed frame and the grab rail frame, tightening it to prevent movement.
6. Final Tightening: Once the rail is in its final position and height, go back and securely tighten all bolts and fasteners using appropriate tools. Do not overtighten.
7. Stability Check: Before first use, firmly push and pull on the grab rail to ensure it is stable and does not move or wobble.

5. Operating Instructions

The Homecraft Grab Rail is designed to provide a stable support point for transitioning in and out of bed.

• Getting Out of Bed:
  1. Roll onto your side, facing the grab rail.
  2. Use your arms to push yourself up to a sitting position, simultaneously grasping the grab rail for support and leverage.
  3. Once seated, use the grab rail to steady yourself as you pivot your legs off the bed and stand up.
• Getting Into Bed:
  1. Sit on the edge of the bed, using the grab rail for support.
  2. Carefully pivot your legs onto the bed.
  3. Use the grab rail to assist in lowering yourself into a lying position.

Always maintain a firm grip on the rail and move slowly and deliberately to prevent falls.

6. Maintenance and Care
