The Eurom VK 2002 is a powerful and versatile fan heater designed for indoor use, offering 2000 Watts of heating power, an integrated thermostat, and a cold air fan function for year-round comfort.

Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
  • Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.
  • Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the heater.
  • Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
  • Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Always unplug the heater when not in use.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  • This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • The heater is equipped with an overheat protection system and a tip-over switch for enhanced safety. If the heater overheats or tips over, it will automatically shut off.

  • Air Inlet Grille: Where air is drawn into the heater.
  • Power Cord: For connecting to an electrical outlet.
  • Tip-Over Switch: Safety mechanism located at the base.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level, and stable surface. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space around the heater to allow for proper air circulation and to prevent fire hazards. Do not place it directly under a power outlet.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched off (mode dial set to 'O' or 'OFF') before plugging it into a properly grounded 230V electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips with this appliance.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Plug the heater into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Select Mode: Use the Mode Control Dial (refer to Figure 1) to select your desired operation:
    • O (OFF): Heater is off.
    • Fan Only (❄️ symbol): Operates as a cooling fan without heat.
    • Low Heat (I): Provides 1000 Watts of heating power.
    • High Heat (II): Provides 2000 Watts of heating power.
  3. Set Thermostat: Turn the Thermostat Control Dial (refer to Figure 2) clockwise to the maximum setting. Once the room reaches your desired temperature, slowly turn the thermostat dial counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the heater turns off. The heater will now cycle on and off automatically to maintain this temperature.
  4. Power Off: To turn off the heater, turn the Mode Control Dial to the 'O' (OFF) position and unplug the heater from the electrical outlet.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Gently vacuum the air inlet and outlet grilles to remove dust and lint.
  • Storage: If storing the heater for an extended period, clean it thoroughly and store it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not use the heater and contact qualified service personnel.

Troubleshooting

  • Increase the thermostat setting.
Heater suddenly stops working.
  • Overheat protection activated.
  • Tip-over switch activated.
  • Thermostat reached set temperature.
  • Unplug, let cool for 30 minutes, then restart. Check for blocked air inlets/outlets.
  • Ensure the heater is upright on a stable surface.
  • This is normal operation. The heater will restart when the temperature drops.
