Setup and Installation
Tools Required
- Screwdriver (Phillips and/or Flathead)
- Wire Strippers
- Drill (if pre-drilling pilot holes)

Mounting the Fixture
- Turn off power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the area where the light will be installed and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Determine location: Choose a suitable location under a cabinet, ensuring adequate clearance and access for wiring. The fixture dimensions are 9" L x 4.63" W x 1.25" H.
- Mark mounting points: Hold the fixture in the desired position and mark the mounting screw locations with a pencil.
- Secure fixture: Using the provided mounting screws, attach the fixture securely to the underside of the cabinet.
Electrical Connection (Hardwire)
- Prepare wiring: Route the 120V AC supply wires to the fixture's wiring compartment. Strip approximately 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the supply wires (black, white, ground).
- Connect wires: Use the provided push-in connectors to connect the fixture's wires to the supply wires:
- Connect the black (hot) wire from the supply to the black wire of the fixture.
- Connect the white (neutral) wire from the supply to the white wire of the fixture.
- Connect the green (ground) wire from the supply to the green or bare copper wire of the fixture.
- Secure connections: Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Tuck wires neatly into the wiring compartment.
- Install bulb: Gently insert the 18W T5 Wedge 12V Xenon bulb into the fixture's socket. Avoid touching the glass portion of the bulb with bare hands.
- Close diffuser: Close the frosted glass diffuser lens. It features a simple hinged push-to-open mechanism.
- Restore power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

Operating Your Light
The XTL-1-HW/WH fixture is equipped with an integrated hi-lo dimmer switch for adjustable light output.
- To turn on: Press the switch to the 'ON' position.
- To adjust brightness: The switch typically has a 'HI' and 'LO' setting. Select the desired brightness level.
- To turn off: Press the switch to the 'OFF' position.
Maintenance
Bulb Replacement
The Xenon bulb has an average life of 10,000 hours. When replacement is necessary:
- Turn off power: Disconnect power to the fixture at the circuit breaker.
- Open diffuser: Gently push the hinged frosted glass diffuser to open it. No tools are required.
- Remove old bulb: Carefully pull the old 18W T5 Wedge 12V Xenon bulb straight out of its socket.
- Install new bulb: Insert a new 18W T5 Wedge 12V Xenon bulb into the socket. Avoid touching the glass with bare hands; use a clean cloth or gloves if necessary.
- Close diffuser: Close the frosted glass diffuser until it latches securely.
- Restore power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
Cleaning
To clean the fixture, ensure power is off. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth may be used, followed by drying. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
