  1. Carefully remove the scale and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the scale on a firm, flat, and stable surface, away from drafts or vibrations.
  3. Ensure the stainless steel platform is securely seated on the main unit.

5.2 Leveling the Scale

5.3 Power Connection

  1. Connect the AC power adapter to the power input port on the scale.
  2. Plug the adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. The internal rechargeable battery will charge automatically when connected to AC power.

5.4 Initial Calibration (Recommended)

For best accuracy, it is recommended to calibrate the scale upon first use and periodically thereafter. A 4kg calibration weight (not included) is required for this procedure. Refer to the detailed calibration instructions in the full manual (if available) or contact My Weigh support for guidance.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the [POWER] button to turn the scale on.
  • Press and hold the [POWER] button for a few seconds to turn the scale off.

6.2 Basic Weighing

  1. Ensure the scale is powered on and displays "0.0" or "0.00".
  2. Gently place the item(s) to be weighed on the center of the stainless steel platform.
  3. Read the weight displayed on the Total Weight display.

6.3 Changing Weighing Units

The CTS-6000 supports grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), and ounces (oz).

  • Press the [MODE] button to cycle through the available weighing units.
  • The selected unit will be indicated on the display.

6.4 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the weight of its contents is measured.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the [TARE] button. The display will reset to "0.0" or "0.00".
  3. Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the items.
  4. To clear the tare, remove the container and its contents, then press [TARE] again.

6.5 Counting Function

The counting feature allows you to determine the quantity of identical items by weight.

  1. Place a known sample quantity of the items (e.g., 10, 20, 50 pieces) on the platform. A larger sample size generally yields greater accuracy.
  2. Press the [COUNT] button. The scale will prompt you to enter the sample quantity.
  3. Use the numerical keys (if available) or follow the specific button sequence in the detailed manual to input the exact number of pieces in your sample.
  4. Confirm the sample quantity. The scale will calculate the average piece weight.
  5. Remove the sample from the platform.
  6. Place the bulk quantity of items to be counted on the platform. The "Number of Pieces" display will show the total count.

6.6 Batching Function

The batching feature allows you to set a target quantity or weight and be alerted when it is reached.

  1. Refer to the detailed manual for specific instructions on setting batch targets (e.g., using the [BATCH] button).
  2. Once a target is set, add items to the platform. The scale will indicate when the target is met.

6.7 RS232 Serial Port Usage

The RS232 port allows data communication with a computer or other compatible devices.

  • Connect a compatible RS232 cable (not included) from the scale to your device.
  • The scale offers various data output modes, such as continuous sending, sending only when stable and not zero, or sending data upon a button press. Consult the detailed manual for configuration options.

7.2 Storage

  • Store the scale in a dry, stable environment when not in use.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the platform during storage.

7.3 Battery Care

  • Ensure the rechargeable battery is charged regularly to maintain its lifespan.
  • If the scale will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery periodically.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Inaccurate or Fluctuating Readings:
    • Check if the scale is on a stable, level surface. Adjust leveling feet if necessary.
    • Ensure there are no drafts or vibrations affecting the scale.
    • Recalibrate the scale if accuracy issues persist (requires a 4kg calibration weight).
  • Scale Not Powering On:
    • Verify the AC power adapter is securely connected to both the scale and the power outlet.
    • Check if the rechargeable battery has sufficient charge.
  • Counting Inconsistencies:
    • Ensure the sample size used for counting is accurate and representative.
    • Confirm the scale is level and stable.
    • For very small items, ensure the 0.1g resolution is sufficient for the item's individual weight.
  • Display Errors:
    • Try turning the scale off and then on again.
    • If error messages persist, contact customer support.
