This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Coby CRA54 Digital AM/FM Alarm Clock Radio. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and longevity.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the alarm clock radio from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power cord to the 110V power outlet. The unit is designed for wired operation.
- Battery Backup (Optional): While the unit operates on AC power, it may have a compartment for backup batteries (not included) to maintain time settings during power outages. Refer to the battery compartment cover for the correct battery type and polarity. Note: Batteries are not included with this product.
- Antenna Adjustment: Extend the FM wire antenna fully for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, rotate the unit for the best signal.
Operating Instructions
Setting the Time
- Press and hold the TIME SET button (location may vary, typically on the front or top panel) until the display flashes.
- Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the time. Observe the AM/PM indicator if present.
- Press TIME SET again to confirm and exit the time setting mode.
Setting the Alarm
- Press and hold the ALARM SET button until the alarm time display flashes.
- Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set your desired alarm time.
- Press ALARM SET again to confirm. You may then be prompted to select the alarm source (radio or buzzer) using the ALARM MODE button.
- Ensure the alarm is activated by checking for an alarm indicator icon on the display.
Radio Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the radio on or off.
- Band Selection: Press the AM/FM button to switch between AM and FM bands.
- Tuning: Use the TUNING dial or TUNE +/- buttons to find your desired station. Some models may feature auto-scan functionality.
- Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the VOLUME dial or VOL +/- buttons.
Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button (usually located on the top of the unit) to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 9 minutes).
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
