1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the installation, maintenance, and specifications of the Craftmade BCD52P-MP 52-inch Maple Ceiling Fan Replacement Blades. These blades are designed for indoor use and are constructed from MDF with a maple finish. This set includes 5 replacement blades.
Important Note: These blades are intended for Craftmade fans but may fit other branded fans. Custom adjustments may be required. Blades that have been altered are not eligible for return.
2. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to replace your ceiling fan blades. Ensure the power to the ceiling fan is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any installation.
- Uninstall the Old Blades: Carefully remove the existing blades from your ceiling fan. Keep the old blades for comparison.

- Align Old and New Blades: Place an old blade directly on top of a new Craftmade replacement blade. This helps in comparing the size and pre-drilled hole patterns.

- Compare Hole Patterns: Carefully examine the hole patterns of both the old and new blades. The Craftmade blades feature a standard hole pattern of 3.94" x 2.76" x 0.30". If the holes do not align perfectly, custom adjustments may be necessary. Mark any required measurements with a pencil.

- Custom Fitting (If Needed): If the pre-drilled holes do not match your fan's bracket, use a drill to create new holes that align with your fan's requirements. Exercise caution and precision during this step.

Note: Customized blades are non-refundable. Ensure all measurements are accurate before drilling.
- Attach New Blades: Secure the new Craftmade blades to your fan's blade brackets using the appropriate screws and hardware (not included with blades). Ensure all blades are securely fastened.
- Restore Power: Once all blades are securely installed, restore power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker. Test the fan operation.
3. Operating Information
These replacement blades are designed to function with compatible 52-inch ceiling fans. Ensure the fan is balanced after installation to prevent wobbling and excessive noise. The blades are approved for INDOOR locations only.
4. Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your Craftmade fan blades, follow these simple guidelines:
- Cleaning: Dust the blades regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For more thorough cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild wood cleaner, then immediately wipe dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the maple finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check the blade screws to ensure they remain tight. Loose screws can cause wobbling and noise.
- Environment: As these blades are for indoor use, avoid exposure to excessive moisture or direct sunlight, which can cause warping or fading.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues after installing your new fan blades, consider the following:
- Fan Wobbling:
- Ensure all blade screws are securely tightened.
- Verify that all blades are installed correctly and are of the same weight.
- Check if the fan's mounting bracket is securely attached to the ceiling.
- If the fan continues to wobble, a blade balancing kit (sold separately) may be required.
- Holes Not Aligning:
- The Craftmade BCD52P-MP blades have a specific hole pattern (3.94" x 2.76" x 0.30"). If your fan's bracket has a different pattern, custom drilling is necessary as described in Section 2.
- Double-check measurements before drilling to ensure accuracy.
- Unusual Noise:
- Confirm all screws are tight, including those attaching the blades to the brackets and the brackets to the motor housing.
- Ensure no wires are rubbing against the fan's internal components.

7. Warranty and Support
Manufacturer's Warranty: All products purchased are covered under a 1-year warranty from the date of original shipment. This warranty covers items and conditions identified in the original manufacturer's warranty. A 30-day replacement parts policy is also in place to ensure a fully working item.
Exclusions: The warranty specifically does not cover loss and theft, water damage, customer abuse, and finish deterioration due to UV or coastal exposure.
