Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: The scale retains stored data even if battery power is lost.
2. Attaching the Hook or Clamp
The scale comes with a heavy-duty composite clamp and a stainless steel hook. Attach either to the bottom swivel of the scale based on your preference for weighing fish.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Press the POWER button to turn the scale on.
- Press and hold the POWER button to turn the scale off.
2. Selecting Measurement Units
With the scale on, tap the UNIT icon on the touch screen to cycle through available units: lbs./oz., decimal lbs., or kg.
3. Weighing a Fish
- Ensure the scale is powered on and displaying "0.00".
- Carefully attach the fish to the hook or clamp.
- Lift the scale steadily, allowing the fish to hang freely.
- The weight will be displayed on the screen. Wait for the reading to stabilize.
- To lock the weight, tap the LOCK/LIGHT icon. Tap again to unlock.
4. Storing Weights (Memory Function)
The scale can store up to 8 individual fish weights. Each stored weight is added to a running total.
- After weighing a fish and locking the weight (optional), tap one of the numbered memory locations (1-8) on the screen.
- The weight will be stored in that location, and the total catch weight will update.
- To view individual stored weights, tap the corresponding numbered memory location.
- To clear a specific stored weight, tap its memory location, then tap the UNDO icon.
- To clear all stored weights, tap the CLEAR SCALE icon.
5. Backlight Control
Tap the LOCK/LIGHT icon to toggle the backlight on or off. The backlight may automatically shut off to conserve battery.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a damp cloth after each use. Do not submerge the scale in water.
- Storage: Store the scale in a dry place away from extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Water Resistance: The scale is water-resistant, not waterproof. Avoid exposing it to heavy rain or submersion. Ensure the battery compartment is always securely closed.
Troubleshooting
