Setup

1. Unpacking and Component Check

2. Connecting the Document Camera

  1. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC211 unit and then to a power outlet.
  2. Display Connection:
    • For direct display: Connect one VGA cable from the DC211's VGA output to a projector or monitor.
    • For computer monitoring: Connect the second VGA cable from the DC211's second VGA output to a computer monitor for simultaneous viewing.
  3. Computer Connection: Connect the USB cable from the DC211 unit to an available USB port on your computer. This connection is required for software functionality, including live annotations and video/image saving.

3. Software Installation

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button located on the control panel to turn the unit on or off. The power indicator light will illuminate when the unit is active.

2. Adjusting the Camera View

  • Gooseneck Adjustment: The flexible gooseneck allows for 360° viewing. Gently bend the gooseneck to position the camera head over the desired document or object.
  • Zoom: Use the ZOOM+ and ZOOM- buttons on the control panel to adjust the magnification of the displayed image.
  • Autofocus: If the image appears blurry, press the AUTO TUNE button to automatically adjust the focus for optimal clarity. Manual focus adjustments can also be made using the focus ring on the camera head.
  • Brightness: Adjust the image brightness using the BRT+ and BRT- buttons.
  • Lighting: The DC211 features dual lamps for anti-reflection design. Use the LAMP button to toggle the lights on or off.

3. Image and Video Capture

  • Freeze: Press the FREEZE button to pause the live image on the display. This allows you to work on the physical document without affecting the projected image, or to allow students to copy notes while you prepare the next section. Press again to unfreeze.
  • Record/Capture: Use the RECORD/CAPTURE button to record video or capture still images. Captured images (up to 120 JPEG) can be saved to the Ladibug's internal memory. For video recording and advanced capture options, utilize the Ladibug software on a connected computer.
  • Delete: The DELETE button can be used to remove stored images from the internal memory.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean the camera lens and body, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.

2. Storage

When not in use, store the Lumens DC211 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the gooseneck is gently folded to prevent strain.
