  • Height Mechanism: The height adjustment mechanism is designed for smooth operation. If you notice any stiffness or difficulty, consult the troubleshooting section or contact customer support.

Ergotron products undergo extensive testing to ensure reliable performance. Adhering to these maintenance guidelines will help preserve the cart's functionality.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Difficulty Adjusting Height

If the cart's height adjustment feels too loose or too stiff, the tension in the mechanism may need adjustment. This is typically done via a specific screw or mechanism located on the central column. Refer to the detailed assembly instructions for your model for precise adjustment procedures. The tension should be set based on the weight of the laptop and any other items consistently placed on the work surface.

6.2 Laptop Not Secure

Ensure the laptop security bracket is correctly positioned and engaged. Verify that your laptop size is within the recommended 12 to 17.3-inch range for optimal fit.

6.3 Casters Not Rolling Smoothly

Check the caster wheels for any accumulated debris such as hair or dust. Clean the wheels thoroughly. Ensure the caster locks are disengaged when attempting to move the cart.
