Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Ensure all protective films are removed from the watch face, case back, and strap before use.

Initial Winding (for Automatic Movement)

As an automatic watch, the IKC1745 is powered by the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or is running low on power, it may require manual winding to initiate operation. To manually wind, rotate the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times while it is in the closed position (position 0). This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Rotate the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 (closed position) to secure it and start the watch movement.

Operating the Watch

Automatic Movement Operation

The IKC1745 features an automatic mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. When worn regularly, the internal rotor winds the mainspring, eliminating the need for batteries. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding or wearing to restart.

Water Resistance

This watch has a water resistance rating of 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, or brief immersion in water. It is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving, as prolonged water exposure or high-pressure water jets can compromise the seals.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and harsh chemicals. If the strap becomes damp, allow it to air dry naturally.

Storage

When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider a watch winder to keep the automatic movement running and lubricated.

Service

For any repairs or internal maintenance, it is recommended to contact an authorized Kenneth Cole service center or a qualified watchmaker. Unauthorized service may void your warranty.
