The WF3CB filter is specifically engineered to reduce up to 99% of contaminants, contributing to cleaner water and a reduction in bottled water consumption. It is NSF and WQA certified, ensuring quality and performance. Please note that the WF3CB filter has a length of 9 inches and is not interchangeable with the longer ULTRAWF filter.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your new Frigidaire WF3CB water filter:

1. Locate the Filter: The water filter is typically located inside the fresh food compartment of your Frigidaire refrigerator.
2. Remove the Old Filter:

   Push the old filter inward until it releases from its housing. Gently pull it out. Be prepared for a small amount of residual water to drip from the filter as it is removed.

3. Prepare the New Filter: Remove any protective plastic caps or seals from the ends of the new WF3CB filter. Ensure the O-rings are present and undamaged.
4. Insert the New Filter:

   Align the grooves on the new filter with the grooves in the filter housing. Push the filter firmly into the housing until you hear a click. This indicates it is securely locked into place.

5. Flush the System: After installation, dispense approximately 3-4 gallons of water through the dispenser to flush out any air or carbon fines from the new filter. This ensures optimal water quality and flow.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, your Frigidaire WF3CB filter will automatically purify water dispensed from your refrigerator's water and ice dispenser.

• Water Dispensing: Place a glass or container under the water dispenser and press the dispenser lever. The filtered water will flow.
• Ice Production: The filter also supplies purified water to the ice maker, ensuring clean ice cubes.

Maintenance and Replacement

Regular filter replacement is crucial for maintaining optimal water quality and flow. The filter has a rated capacity of 200 gallons (757 liters).

• Replacement Frequency: It is recommended to replace your WF3CB water filter every 6 months, or after dispensing 200 gallons of water, whichever comes first.
• Indicator Light: Your refrigerator typically has a water filter reminder light that will illuminate when it's time to replace the filter.
• Resetting the Indicator: After replacing the filter, the reminder light does not turn off automatically. Most reminder lights are reset by pressing and holding the "Water Filter" button on the dispenser control for 3 seconds. The display will change from red to green, indicating the status has been reset.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your water filter, consider the following common problems and solutions:

• Slow Water Flow:

  A common cause of slow water flow is a clogged or old filter. Replace the filter if it has been more than 6 months or if the indicator light is on.

  Ensure the new filter is properly seated and locked into the housing. A loose connection can restrict water flow.

• Unusual Taste or Odor:

  If the water has an unusual taste or odor after filter replacement, it may be due to carbon fines. Flush the system by dispensing several gallons of water until the taste/odor dissipates.

  If the issue persists, ensure you are using a genuine Frigidaire filter and that it is not expired.
• Leaking:

  Check that the filter is fully inserted and locked into place. A loose filter can cause leaks.

  Inspect the O-rings on the filter for any damage or misalignment. If damaged, the filter may need to be replaced.
