Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this pressure washer. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

Product Overview

The Dirt Devil ND40010 Pressure Flex Electric Pressure Washer is designed for various cleaning tasks around your home. It features a 120-Volt to 13-Amp universal motor, delivering 2000 PSI at 1.6 GPM.

Key Components and Accessories:

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your pressure washer for use.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and ensure all listed components are present.
  2. Handle Assembly: Attach the handle to the main unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect the 19-foot high-pressure hose to the outlet on the pressure washer unit and to the spray gun. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  4. Connect Garden Hose: Attach your garden hose (not included) to the water inlet on the pressure washer. It is crucial to ensure a tight, leak-free connection. If leaks occur, check the washer or consider using plumber's tape on the threads.
  5. Attach Nozzle/Accessory: Select the desired nozzle (variable spray, turbo lance, or rotary brush) and attach it to the spray gun wand.
  6. Electrical Connection: Plug the GFCI manual reset cord into a grounded 120-Volt outlet. Press the "RESET" button on the GFCI plug if necessary.

Operating Instructions

  1. Water Supply: Turn on the water supply to the garden hose completely.
  2. Purge Air: Before turning on the power, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to allow water to flow through the system and purge all air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle. This step is critical to prevent damage to the pump.
  3. Start Unit: Turn the pressure washer's ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
  4. Begin Cleaning: Squeeze the spray gun trigger to start the high-pressure spray. The auto shut-off feature will stop the motor when the trigger is released and restart it when squeezed again.
  5. Adjust Spray: Use the variable narrow to wide spray nozzle to adjust the spray pattern as needed for different cleaning tasks. The turbo lance provides an oscillating jet for tough dirt, and the rotary brush is ideal for scrubbing surfaces.
  6. Detergent Application: To use detergent, fill the built-in detergent tank with pressure washer-safe cleaning solution. The pressure washer will automatically draw detergent when operating at low pressure (typically with a specific detergent nozzle or setting, refer to the physical manual for exact instructions).
  7. Shut Down: When finished, turn the pressure washer's ON/OFF switch to "OFF". Turn off the water supply. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.
