4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
Slide the cover downwards to open it.
Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

4.2 Connecting the Base Unit

Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the telephone line port on the back of the base unit.
Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall jack.
Connect the small plug of the power adapter to the power port on the back of the base unit.
Plug the large end of the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

4.3 Charging the Handset

Place the handset onto the base unit's charging cradle. Ensure the handset is seated correctly and the charging indicator (if present) illuminates. For optimal battery performance, charge the handset for at least 12-14 hours before its first use, even if the display indicates a full charge.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making Calls

Pick up the handset or press the Call button.
Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
Press the Call button again if necessary, or wait for the call to connect.
To end the call, press the End button or place the handset back on the base unit.

5.2 Receiving Calls

When the phone rings, press the Call button on the handset to answer. To end the call, press the End button or return the handset to the base unit.

5.3 Adjusting Volume

During a call, use the navigation keys (usually up/down arrows) on the handset to adjust the earpiece volume. The ring volume can typically be adjusted through the phone's menu settings when the phone is idle.
