Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Weber 6549 Weber Q Rolling Cart. This versatile cart is designed to enhance the portability and functionality of your Weber Q 100, Weber Q 200 series, and Weber Char Q grills. It serves as both a stable grill stand and a convenient caddy for transport, making it ideal for various outdoor cooking scenarios.

Safety Information

  • Always ensure the grill is securely placed on the cart before use.
  • Do not move the cart with a hot grill. Allow the grill to cool completely before transport.
  • Keep children and pets away from the grill and cart during operation.
  • Ensure the cart is on a stable, level surface when used as a stationary stand to prevent tipping.
  • Regularly inspect all components for wear or damage. Do not use if parts are broken or missing.

Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

  • Cart Frame (main body)
  • Wheels (2 units)
  • Axle
  • Hardware (washers, cotter pins, etc.)
  • Bottom Wire Rack
  • Instruction Manual (this document)

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Weber Q Rolling Cart:

  3. Insert the axle assembly into the designated slots on the cart frame. Secure with the provided hardware.
  4. Attach the bottom wire rack to the cart frame. This rack provides stability and can hold accessories.
  5. Once assembled, unfold the cart legs until they lock into position.

Operating Instructions

Using as a Stationary Stand

To use the cart as a stationary stand, ensure the legs are fully extended and locked into position. Place your Weber Q grill securely on the top platform. The cart provides a stable and elevated surface for grilling, bringing your grill to a comfortable cooking height.

Using as a Transport Caddy

The cart can be folded to transport your Weber Q grill. To convert to caddy mode:

  1. Ensure the grill is cool and any gas connections are disconnected.
  2. Remove the grill from the cart.
  3. Fold the cart by releasing the leg locks. The cart will collapse into a compact form.
  4. Place your Weber Q grill on top of the folded cart. The cart is designed to cradle the grill for easy rolling.
  5. Use the integrated handle or the bottom wire rack as a pull handle to move the grill.

Folding for Storage

The cart folds easily for storage in small spaces, such as car trunks or compact areas. Simply release the leg locks and collapse the frame. This compact design makes it convenient for travel and storage.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the cart frame and plastic components with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Inspect wheels for smooth operation and any signs of wear.
  • Storage: Store the cart in a dry, protected area when not in use to prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

Cart feels wobbly:
Ensure all leg locks are fully engaged and the cart is placed on a firm, level surface. Check that all assembly hardware is tightened securely.
Difficulty folding the cart:
Verify that the leg release mechanisms are fully disengaged. Ensure no obstructions are preventing the frame from collapsing smoothly.
Grill does not fit securely:
Confirm that your grill is a Weber Q 100, Q 200 series, or Weber Char Q model. The cart is specifically designed for these models.
