2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and check for any damage. Keep packaging for storage or disposal.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the non-stick cooking plate with a damp cloth. Ensure the appliance is completely dry before plugging it in.
- First Use (Conditioning):
- Place the crepe maker on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Connect the detachable power cord to the appliance and then to a suitable wall outlet.
- Turn the temperature control knob to the maximum setting. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the appliance to heat up for approximately 10-15 minutes. During this initial heating, a slight odor or smoke may occur; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Turn the appliance off and unplug it. Allow it to cool completely.
- Once cool, wipe the cooking plate again with a damp cloth. The appliance is now ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions
- Prepare Batter: Prepare your crepe batter according to your recipe. Ensure the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Preheat: Plug in the appliance. Turn the temperature control knob to your desired setting (start with a medium setting and adjust as needed). The indicator light will turn on, indicating heating. Wait until the indicator light turns off, signifying that the desired temperature has been reached.
- Lightly Grease (Optional): For the first crepe, you may lightly grease the non-stick plate with a small amount of cooking oil or butter using a paper towel. This is often not necessary for subsequent crepes due to the non-stick coating.
- Pour Batter: Pour a ladle of batter onto the center of the hot cooking plate. The amount of batter will depend on the desired thickness of your crepe.
- Spread Batter: Immediately use the wooden batter spreader to quickly and evenly spread the batter in a circular motion from the center outwards, covering the entire plate.
- Cook First Side: Cook for approximately 1-2 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown and the surface appears set.
- Turn Crepe: Use the wooden spatula to gently lift and turn the crepe.
- Cook Second Side: Cook the second side for about 30-60 seconds, or until golden brown.
- Remove Crepe: Once cooked, use the wooden spatula to remove the crepe from the plate. Place it on a plate and keep warm, or serve immediately.
- Repeat: Repeat the process for remaining batter. The indicator light will cycle on and off during use to maintain the set temperature.
- Finish: When finished, turn the temperature control knob to "AUS" (Off) and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Cooking Plate: Wipe the non-stick cooking plate with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, use a small amount of mild dish soap and warm water, then wipe clean and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils as these can damage the non-stick coating. The cooking plate is not removable.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Accessories: Wash the wooden batter spreader and spatula with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
- Storage: Store the cooled and cleaned appliance in a dry place. The detachable power cord can be stored separately or wrapped neatly around the base if a storage feature is present.
- Do not immerse the main unit of the crepe maker in water or any other liquid.
