Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation.
Safety Information
- Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 150 lbs (68 kg). Exceeding this limit can result in serious injury or property damage.
- Wall Structure: Ensure the mounting surface can safely support the combined weight of the mount and the display. Consult a qualified professional if unsure.
- Tools: Use appropriate tools for installation. Wear safety glasses and other protective gear as needed.
- Children: Keep children away from the installation area during setup.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the mounted display.
Parts List
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with installation and contact customer support.
- Wall Plate Assembly
- Display Adapter Brackets (2)
- Mounting Hardware Kit (various screws, washers, spacers for display and wall)
- Installation Template

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. Two people are recommended for safe installation.
- Prepare the Wall:
- Locate wall studs using a stud finder. Mark the center of the studs.
- Position the installation template on the wall at the desired height. Ensure it is level.
- Mark the drilling locations through the template onto the wall.
- Attach Wall Plate:
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Secure the wall plate assembly to the wall using the appropriate lag bolts and washers. Ensure it is firmly attached and level.
- Attach Adapter Brackets to Display:
- Carefully place the display face down on a soft, clean surface.
- Identify the VESA mounting holes on the back of your display.
- Select the correct screws, washers, and spacers from the hardware kit that fit your display's mounting holes.
- Attach the two display adapter brackets to the back of the display. Ensure the hooks on the brackets are facing upwards and are positioned to engage with the wall plate.
- Mount Display to Wall Plate:
- With assistance, carefully lift the display with the attached adapter brackets.
- Hook the top edge of the display adapter brackets onto the top rail of the wall plate.
- Gently lower the display until the brackets fully engage with the wall plate.
- Secure the bottom of the display adapter brackets to the wall plate using the provided security screws or locking mechanisms to prevent accidental dislodgement.
- Adjusting Display (if applicable):
- The PF640 allows for horizontal screen adjustment up to 6 inches for centering the screen on the wall. Loosen the appropriate screws on the display adapter brackets, slide the display to the desired position, and re-tighten the screws.
Operating
Once installed, the Peerless Paramount PF640 provides a secure, flat mounting solution. While primarily a fixed flat mount, it offers minor horizontal adjustment for optimal positioning.
- Horizontal Adjustment: As noted in the installation section, the display can be shifted horizontally up to 6 inches after initial mounting to achieve perfect centering. This is done by loosening the securing screws on the display brackets, sliding the display along the wall plate, and then re-tightening the screws.
- Cable Management: Ensure all cables connected to your display are routed safely and do not interfere with the mount or put strain on the connections.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your wall mount.
- Cleaning: Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Over time, vibrations or minor shifts can cause fasteners to loosen.
- Weight Check: Do not add additional weight to the display or mount beyond its specified capacity.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
- Display is not level:
Solution: Ensure the wall plate was installed level. If the wall plate is level, check if the display adapter brackets are properly aligned and secured to the display. Some mounts allow for minor post-installation leveling adjustments; refer to the specific design of the PF640 for this feature.
- Mount feels unstable:
Solution: Immediately remove the display. Re-check all wall mounting screws to ensure they are securely fastened into wall studs or appropriate anchors. Verify the wall structure can support the weight. If unsure, consult a professional.
- Cannot attach display to wall plate:
Solution: Ensure the display adapter brackets are correctly oriented and attached to the display, and that the hooks are properly aligned with the wall plate's top rail. Verify that the display's VESA pattern is compatible with the mount's adapter brackets.
