Key Features

Setup and Fitting

1. Sizing and Fit

A properly fitting helmet is crucial for safety. Refer to the size chart to determine the correct helmet size for your head circumference. The helmet should fit snugly around your head without causing pressure points.

2. Adjusting the Retention System

The Microlock retention system allows for quick and secure fastening. Insert the tab into the buckle until it clicks. To release, lift the lever and pull the tab out. Ensure the strap is snug under your chin, allowing no more than two fingers to fit between the strap and your chin.

3. N-Com Communication System Installation (Optional)

The N103 helmet is pre-configured for the N-Com communication system. Refer to the N-Com system's specific instruction manual for detailed installation steps. Ensure all components are securely fitted and cables are routed correctly to avoid interference with helmet operation.

Operating the Helmet

1. Opening and Closing the Chinbar

To open the chinbar, locate the dual-action Centromatic release system. Pull the tab on the underside of the chinbar, then squeeze it together with the front tab. This mechanism ensures accidental opening is prevented. Lift the chinbar upwards until it locks into the open position. To close, pull the chinbar down firmly until it clicks securely into place.

2. Operating the VPS (Vision Protection System)

The internal dark shield (VPS) is operated by a slider located on the left side of the helmet. Slide it down to deploy the dark shield for sun protection, and slide it up to retract it. The VPS can be used independently of the clear faceshield.

3. Faceshield Operation and Replacement

The clear Lexan faceshield can be opened and closed by hand. For replacement, use the push-button quick-change mechanism. Press the release buttons on both sides of the faceshield mechanism and carefully detach the shield. Align the new shield with the attachment points and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened before riding.

4. Ventilation System

The helmet features a JSW top vent, chinbar vents, and an exhaust grid in the rear spoiler. These vents are operated by glove-friendly rubber sliders. Open the vents to increase airflow and close them to reduce it, depending on riding conditions.

Maintenance and Care

1. Cleaning the Exterior

Clean the helmet shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or petroleum-based products, as these can damage the helmet's finish and materials. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, clean cloth.

2. Cleaning the Interior

The Clima-Comfort interior is fully removable and washable. Detach the interior padding by unsnapping it. Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle in a laundry bag. Air dry completely before reinserting into the helmet. Do not tumble dry.

3. Faceshield and VPS Care

Clean the faceshield and VPS with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For the NFR antifog insert, follow its specific cleaning instructions, usually a gentle wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid touching the inner surface of the antifog insert directly.

4. Storage

Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from dust and scratches.

Warranty and Support

For warranty information and customer support, please refer to the official Nolan website or contact your authorized Nolan dealer. Keep your proof of purchase for any warranty claims. Do not attempt to modify or repair the helmet yourself, as this may void the warranty and compromise safety.
