1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your Strong Slimsat SA61 Single LNB Antenna. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure safe and efficient performance. Keep this manual for future reference.
2. Product Overview
The Strong Slimsat SA61 is a compact and discreet flat satellite antenna designed for receiving satellite television signals. It features a single LNB for connecting to one receiver. Its slim design makes it suitable for various installation environments where traditional satellite dishes might be impractical.

3. Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent damage to the product or injury to yourself.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure all power to connected devices is off before making or breaking connections. Do not expose the antenna or cables to moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Installation Safety: Installation should be performed by a qualified person. Use appropriate safety equipment (e.g., ladder, harness) when working at heights. Avoid installing near power lines or other electrical hazards.
- Handling: Handle the antenna with care. Do not drop or subject it to strong impacts.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the antenna, although this is less critical for outdoor LNBs.
- Cleaning: Disconnect all cables before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
4. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for optimal signal reception. This section outlines the general steps for setting up your Slimsat SA61 antenna.
4.1 Unpacking and Component Check
Carefully unpack all components and verify that all parts are present:
- Slimsat SA61 Antenna
- Mounting Bracket
- Compass
- Wrench
- Instruction Manual (this document)
4.2 Choosing an Installation Location
Select a location with a clear line of sight to the desired satellite. Obstructions such as trees, buildings, or other structures will block the signal. The antenna can be mounted on a wall or a pole.
4.3 Mounting the Antenna
- Assemble the mounting bracket according to the diagrams provided in the packaging.
- Securely attach the mounting bracket to your chosen wall or pole. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the antenna, especially in windy conditions.
- Attach the Slimsat SA61 antenna to the mounting bracket. Do not fully tighten all bolts yet, as adjustments will be needed for alignment.

4.4 Satellite Alignment
This is the most critical step for signal reception.
- Determine Satellite Position: Use an online satellite finder tool (e.g., 'dish pointer' websites) or a satellite finder app on your smartphone to determine the exact azimuth (horizontal direction), elevation (vertical angle), and LNB skew for your location and desired satellite. The included compass can assist with initial azimuth orientation.
- Connect to Receiver: Connect the coaxial cable from the antenna's LNB output to your satellite receiver's input. Ensure the F-connector is securely tightened and consider using a waterproof F-connector or weatherproofing tape for outdoor connections.
- Adjust Azimuth and Elevation: Slowly adjust the antenna's horizontal and vertical angles while monitoring the signal strength and quality on your satellite receiver. Make small, precise movements. The rear of the antenna has markings to assist with elevation adjustment.
- Adjust LNB Skew (Polarization): The Slimsat SA61 acts as both antenna and LNB. Rotate the entire antenna body slightly around its central axis to optimize the LNB skew for maximum signal quality. This is often done by rotating the antenna within its mounting bracket.
- Secure Antenna: Once optimal signal strength and quality are achieved, carefully tighten all mounting bolts to secure the antenna in position. Avoid disturbing the alignment during this step.

5. Operation
Once installed and aligned, the Strong Slimsat SA61 antenna operates passively by receiving satellite signals and converting them for your satellite receiver. There are no user-adjustable controls on the antenna itself during normal operation.
- Ensure your satellite receiver is powered on and configured for the correct satellite.
- Use your satellite receiver's remote control to scan for channels and navigate programming.
6. Maintenance
The Slimsat SA61 antenna requires minimal maintenance.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the antenna and its mounting for any signs of damage, loose connections, or corrosion. Ensure the mounting remains secure.
- Cleaning: If the antenna surface becomes dirty, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Snow/Ice Removal: In snowy or icy conditions, gently remove any accumulation from the antenna surface to prevent signal loss. Do not use sharp objects.
7. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your satellite reception, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Signal / Weak Signal:
- Check all cable connections between the antenna and the receiver. Ensure they are tight and free from damage.
- Verify that there are no new obstructions (e.g., growing trees, new buildings) blocking the line of sight to the satellite.
- Re-check the antenna alignment (azimuth, elevation, LNB skew) using a satellite finder tool. Even slight shifts can impact signal quality.
- Ensure your satellite receiver is correctly configured for the satellite you are trying to receive.
- Picture Freezing / Pixelation:
- This often indicates a weak or intermittent signal. Re-align the antenna for optimal signal quality.
- Check for any damage to the coaxial cable, especially if it has been exposed to weather.
- No Power to LNB:
- Ensure your satellite receiver is providing power to the LNB. Check receiver settings.
If problems persist after following these steps, contact a qualified technician or Strong customer support.
