3.1 Display Features

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the desktop station.
  2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) new AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
  5. The display will illuminate, and the device will begin its initial setup.

4.2 Initial Settings (Time, Date, Temperature Unit)

After battery installation, the device will typically enter time setting mode automatically. If not, press and hold the MODE button for a few seconds to enter setting mode.

  1. Set Time: The hour digits will flash. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour. Press MODE to confirm and move to minutes. Repeat for minutes.
  2. Set 12/24 Hour Format: After setting minutes, press MODE. Use UP or DOWN to select 12-hour or 24-hour format. Press MODE.
  3. Set Year, Month, Day: Continue pressing MODE to cycle through year, month, and day settings. Use UP or DOWN to adjust each value. Press MODE to confirm each setting.
  4. Set Temperature Unit: After setting the date, press MODE. The temperature unit (°F or °C) will flash. Use UP or DOWN to select your preferred unit. Press MODE to exit setting mode.

4.3 Placement

Place the desktop station on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts, which could affect temperature and humidity readings. Ensure it is in a location where the display is easily visible.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Viewing MAX/MIN Temperature and Humidity

Press the MAX/MIN button once to display the maximum recorded temperature and humidity. Press it again to display the minimum recorded values. Press a third time to return to current readings.

To clear the MAX/MIN records, press and hold the MAX/MIN button while the maximum or minimum values are displayed. The records will reset to current values.

5.2 Setting the Alarm

  1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button repeatedly until "AL" (Alarm) appears on the display, usually next to the time.
  2. Press and hold the MODE button until the alarm hour digits flash.
  3. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to set the desired alarm hour. Press MODE to confirm.
  4. The alarm minute digits will flash. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to set the desired alarm minutes. Press MODE to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.

5.3 Activating/Deactivating the Alarm

From the normal time display, press the UP button once. An alarm icon (e.g., a bell) will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is active. Press UP again to deactivate the alarm; the icon will disappear.

5.4 Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the SNZ button. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after approximately 5-10 minutes (snooze duration may vary by model). To stop the alarm completely, press any other button (e.g., MODE, UP, DOWN, MAX/MIN, LIGHT).

5.5 Backlight

Press the LIGHT button to briefly illuminate the display for easier viewing in low-light conditions. The backlight will automatically turn off after a few seconds.

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing. Ensure no moisture enters the battery compartment or other openings.

6.2 Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the unit stops functioning, replace the batteries. Always replace with two new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
