5.1. Straightening Hair
- Plug in the Revlon Smooth and Straight Ceramic Flat Iron.
- Select your desired heat setting (High or Low) using the switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the flat iron to heat up for approximately 30 seconds until it reaches the selected temperature.
- Section your hair into manageable strands, typically 1-2 inches wide.
- Place a section of hair between the ceramic plates, close to the roots.
- Gently close the plates and glide the flat iron down the hair shaft from root to tip in one smooth motion. Avoid holding the iron in one place for too long to prevent heat damage.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the remaining hair sections until desired straightness is achieved.
- Unplug the flat iron when finished.
5.2. Curling Hair
The slim design of this flat iron also allows for creating curls and waves.
- Follow steps 1-4 from the straightening instructions to prepare the iron and your hair.
- For curls, clamp a section of hair near the roots.
- Rotate the flat iron 180 degrees away from your face, then slowly pull it down the hair shaft. The speed at which you pull will determine the tightness of the curl.
- Release the hair and allow the curl to cool before touching it to set the style.
- Repeat for all sections.
- Unplug the flat iron when finished.
