2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking

- 2 x AAA Batteries (may be pre-installed or included separately)
2.2 Battery Installation
The scale requires two AAA batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Gently slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.3 Initial Placement
For accurate readings, place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid placing it on soft, uneven, or vibrating surfaces, as this can affect precision.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
- To turn the scale ON, press the [⑂] button. The LCD display will illuminate and show "88888" then "0.0g" (or the last used unit).
- To turn the scale OFF, press and hold the [⑂] button for a few seconds. The scale also features an automatic shut-off function after approximately 60 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.

3.2 Weighing Procedure
- Ensure the scale is on a stable surface and powered on, displaying "0.0g".
- Gently place the item to be weighed onto the center of the weighing platform.
- Wait for the display to stabilize. The stable weight reading will be shown.

3.3 Unit Conversion
The scale supports multiple weighing units. To change the unit:
- Press the [UNIT] button repeatedly to cycle through the available units: grams (g), ounces (oz), carats (ct), pennyweights (dwt), and grains (gn).
- The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.
3.4 Tare Function
The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you can measure only the net weight of its contents.
- Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
- Press the [TARE] button. The display will reset to "0.0g".
- Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the weight of the items.
- To clear the tare, remove all items and the container from the platform, then press [TARE] again if the display does not return to zero automatically.
3.5 Counting Function (PCS)
The counting function allows you to count a large number of small, identical items.
- Turn the scale on and ensure it displays "0.0g".
- Press and hold the [PCS] button until "PCS" appears on the display.
- Press the [UNIT] button to select a sample size (e.g., 10, 20, 50, 100 pieces).
- Place the selected number of sample items onto the weighing platform.
- Press the [PCS] button again to confirm the sample size. The display will show the number of pieces.
- You can now add more items of the same type, and the scale will display the total count.
- To exit counting mode, press the [PCS] button again.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To maintain the accuracy and appearance of your scale:
- Wipe the scale with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or immerse the scale in water.
