5. Setup

5.1 Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

AC Power Operation:

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off.
  2. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC input jack on the back of the boombox.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V ~ 60Hz).

Battery Power Operation:

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from AC power.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
  3. Insert 8 'C' size batteries (not included) into the compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.

6. Operation

6.1 CD Playback

  1. Press the MODE button to select CD mode.
  2. Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it.
  3. Place an audio CD, CD-R, or CD-RW disc onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  4. Close the CD compartment cover. The display will show the total number of tracks.
  5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
  6. To pause, press PLAY/PAUSE again. Press again to resume.
  7. To skip to the next track, press the SKIP FORWARD button (>>|).
  8. To go back to the beginning of the current track or previous track, press the SKIP BACKWARD button (|<<).
  9. To stop playback, press the STOP button.
  10. Repeat Function: Press the REPEAT button once to repeat the current track. Press again to repeat all tracks. Press a third time to cancel.
  11. Program Function: In stop mode, press the PROGRAM button. Use SKIP FORWARD/BACKWARD to select desired tracks, then press PROGRAM to confirm each track. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start programmed playback.

6.2 AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the MODE button to select AM or FM radio mode.
  2. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, rotate the unit for best signal.
  3. Rotate the TUNING knob to select your desired radio station.
  4. Adjust the VOLUME knob to your preferred listening level.

6.3 USB/SD/MP3 Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Press the MODE button to select USB or SD mode. The display will show the total number of MP3 tracks.
  3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
  4. Use the SKIP FORWARD/BACKWARD buttons to navigate between tracks.
  5. Press the STOP button to end playback.

6.4 Headphone Use

To listen privately, plug a 3.5mm stereo headphone into the headphone jack. The speakers will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc or a soft, lint-free cloth designed for optical lenses.

7.2 Battery Replacement

When the unit's performance degrades during battery operation, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in Section 5.1 for Battery Power Operation to replace all 8 'C' size batteries.
