Unpacking and Placement

Connecting to Your Audio System

The CD5004 offers various connection options for integration into your home audio system.

  1. Analog Audio Connection:

    Connect the gold-plated analog output terminals (L and R) on the rear of the CD5004 to the corresponding analog input jacks on your amplifier or receiver using RCA audio cables. The widely spaced terminals accommodate heavy-duty connectors.

  2. Digital Audio Connection (Optional):

    For digital audio output, connect either the Coaxial or Optical digital output terminal on the CD5004 to a digital input on your amplifier or digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Use a high-quality coaxial digital cable or optical fiber cable, respectively.

  3. Power Connection:

    Connect the supplied detachable AC power cord to the AC IN terminal on the rear of the CD5004, then plug the other end into a suitable wall outlet. Ensure the power supply matches the unit's voltage requirements.

  4. IR Flasher Input (for Custom Installation):

    If integrating into a custom control system, connect an IR flasher to the "FLASHER IN" jack for remote control ease.

Operating Instructions

Basic Playback

  1. Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control to turn on the unit.
  2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a CD (or CD-R/CD-RW with MP3/WMA files) onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray. The unit will read the disc.
  5. Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
  6. Use the SKIP buttons (forward/backward) to navigate between tracks.
  7. Use the PAUSE button to temporarily stop playback and STOP to end playback.
