4. Maintenance and Care

4.1 Battery Replacement

Your Armitron watch comes with a pre-installed Lithium Metal battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

4.2 Cleaning

Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For the nylon strap, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and air drying. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the watch case or strap.

4.3 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 330 feet (100 meters). This rating means it is suitable for snorkeling and swimming, but not for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons underwater. Always ensure the crown (if applicable) is pushed in completely before exposing the watch to water.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Refer to Section 4.1 for battery replacement.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a common feature for this model). If issues persist, a battery reset or replacement might be needed.
  • Time is incorrect: Re-enter the time setting mode and adjust as per Section 2.2. Check if the 12/24-hour format is set correctly.
  • Alarm not sounding: Verify that the alarm is activated in Alarm Mode (check for the alarm icon on the display). Ensure the alarm time is set correctly.
