4. Operating Instructions
The Ninja Master Prep uses a pulse action for optimal control over processing. Avoid continuous operation to prevent overheating.
Chopping and Mincing:
- Use the 16 oz. Chopper Bowl for best results.
- Add ingredients. For best chopping, ensure ingredients are cut into 1-inch pieces before placing them in the bowl.
- Place the Power Pod and press down in short, quick pulses (1-3 seconds each).
- Check consistency between pulses. Repeat until desired consistency is achieved.
Blending and Pureeing:
- Use the 48 oz. Pitcher for best results, especially for liquids and frozen ingredients.
- Add ingredients. For smoothies, add liquids first, then soft ingredients, and finally frozen fruits or ice.
- Place the Power Pod and press down in longer pulses (3-5 seconds each) or hold down for continuous blending.
- For thicker mixtures, use the pulse function to break up ingredients, then blend continuously.
Important: Do not operate the unit continuously for more than 1 minute. Allow the motor to cool down for several minutes between cycles.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your Ninja Master Prep.
Cleaning:
- Always unplug the Power Pod before cleaning.
- All jars, blades, and lids are dishwasher safe. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
- Alternatively, wash by hand in warm, soapy water. Use caution when handling blade assemblies as blades are sharp.
- Wipe the Power Pod clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the Power Pod in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing.
Storage:
Use the provided storage lids to keep prepared food fresh in the containers. Store the Power Pod and other components in a dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Ninja Master Prep, refer to the following common solutions:
- Unit does not turn on: Ensure the Power Pod is securely placed on the splash guard and the container, and that the unit is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Ingredients are not blending/chopping: Ensure the blade assembly is correctly inserted. Do not overfill the container; reduce the amount of ingredients if necessary. For tough ingredients, add a small amount of liquid.
- Motor stops during operation: The unit may have overheated. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for at least 15 minutes before attempting to use it again. Reduce processing time and ingredient load.
- Leaking from container: Ensure the splash guard is properly seated on the container before attaching the Power Pod. Do not overfill the container.
