1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Doro PhoneEasy 100w DECT Cordless Phone. Please read this manual carefully before using the phone to ensure proper functionality and safety. The Doro PhoneEasy 100w is designed for ease of use, featuring large buttons and a clear display.

2. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent damage to the product or injury to yourself.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the handset.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards and remove it.
  3. Insert the supplied rechargeable AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover, ensuring it clicks into place.

3.2 Connecting the Base Station

  1. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the LINE socket on the base station.
  2. Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall socket.
  3. Connect the small plug of the power adapter to the DC IN socket on the base station.
  4. Plug the power adapter into a wall power outlet.

3.3 Initial Battery Charge

Place the handset in the base station. The display will indicate charging. For optimal battery performance, allow the handset to charge continuously for at least 12-15 hours before its first use, even if the display shows a full charge sooner.

3.4 Language Setting

Upon first use or after a reset, you may need to select your preferred language. Navigate through the menu options using the arrow keys (if available) or the navigation buttons, and confirm your selection. Refer to the display for on-screen prompts.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Making a Call

  2. Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
  3. Press the Green Call button again to initiate the call if not already in call mode.
  4. To end the call, press the Red End Call button or place the handset back in the base station.

4.2 Receiving a Call

When the phone rings, press the Green Call button to answer the call. To end the call, press the Red End Call button or place the handset back in the base station.

4.3 Adjusting Volume

During a call, use the volume up/down buttons located on the side of the handset to adjust the earpiece volume. These are typically marked with an upward and downward arrow.

4.4 Speakerphone

To activate the speakerphone function during a call, press the dedicated speakerphone button (often marked with a speaker icon). Press it again to switch back to the earpiece.

4.5 Phonebook

The phonebook allows you to store frequently called numbers. The Doro PhoneEasy 100w supports up to 20 phonebook entries. Refer to the handset's menu for instructions on adding, editing, and deleting contacts.

4.6 Redial

To redial the last number called, press the Redial button (often marked with an 'R' or a curved arrow) or access the call history via the menu.

4.7 Conference Call

The Doro PhoneEasy 100w supports 2-way conference calls. Consult your telephone service provider for details on activating and using this feature, as it may depend on your subscription.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the phone and base station with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the phone is disconnected from power before cleaning.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid overcharging for extended periods (e.g., leaving on the charger for weeks without use). If the phone will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries. Replace batteries when their performance significantly degrades.
