2. Safety Information

3. Setup
3.1 Power Supply
The Casio SA-46 can be powered by batteries or an optional AC adaptor.
Using Batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the keyboard.
- Insert six (6) AA-size alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.
Using an AC Adaptor:
- Obtain the optional Casio AD-E95100L AC adaptor (sold separately, ASIN: B003UNL39G).
- Connect the AC adaptor to the DC 9.5V jack on the back of the keyboard.
- Plug the AC adaptor into a standard wall outlet.
3.2 Initial Power On
After connecting the power source, slide the POWER switch to the "ON" position. The LCD display will illuminate, indicating the keyboard is ready for use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Playback
- Keys: Press the 32 mini-keys to produce musical notes.
- Volume: Adjust the volume slider located on the control panel to your desired listening level.
- Tone Selection: Use the "TONE" button and number keys to select from 100 built-in tones. The default tone is Piano. A dedicated switch allows quick selection between Piano and Reed Organ/Organ sounds.
- Rhythm Selection: Use the "RHYTHM" button and number keys to select from 50 built-in accompaniment rhythms.
- Drum Pads: Tap the five drum pads to produce various percussion sounds.

4.2 Headphone Use
For quiet practice, connect standard stereo headphones (3.5mm jack) to the headphone socket located on the side of the keyboard. When headphones are connected, sound will not be emitted from the built-in speakers.
4.3 Song Bank
The keyboard includes a song bank with various pre-recorded tunes. Refer to the labels on the keyboard's control panel for song numbers. Use the "SONG BANK" button to access and play these songs.

5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the keyboard's surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water and a mild, neutral detergent, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid using alcohol, paint thinner, or other chemical solvents, as these can damage the finish.
5.2 Storage
When storing the keyboard, especially for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Do not place heavy objects on the keyboard.
