Please read all instructions carefully before using your Dirt Devil M339-1 Shark Steam Mop. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
- Always ensure the appliance is unplugged before assembly, disassembly, or cleaning.
- Do not immerse the steam mop in water or other liquids.
- Use only clean tap water in the water tank. Do not add cleaning solutions, perfumes, or other chemicals, as this can damage the appliance and void the warranty.
- Steam is hot. Avoid direct contact with steam. Keep hands, face, and body away from the steam nozzle.
- Do not use on unsealed wood floors, unglazed ceramic, or any surface that is sensitive to heat or moisture. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged.

Setup
- Assemble the Handle: Connect the three sections of the aluminum handle firmly until they click into place. Ensure the grip is securely attached to the top section.
- Attach Mop Pad: Place the desired mop pad (rectangular or triangular) onto the cleaning head. The pad should adhere securely to the hook-and-loop fasteners on the bottom of the cleaning head.
- Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank cap. Use the provided filling cup to pour up to 0.45 liters of clean tap water into the tank. Do not overfill. Close the cap securely.

Operating Instructions
- Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240V, 50Hz). The appliance will begin to heat up.
- Heat-up Time: The steam mop will be ready for use in approximately 30 seconds.
- Begin Cleaning: Move the steam mop slowly and steadily across the hard floor surface. The steam will be released automatically, cleaning and sanitizing the floor.
- Pocket Pad System: If one side of the mop pad becomes soiled, simply rotate the cleaning head 180 degrees to use the clean side of the pad. This allows for extended cleaning without changing pads.

The water tank provides approximately 10 minutes of continuous steam cleaning per fill.
Maintenance
- Empty Water Tank: After each use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Clean Mop Pads: The mop pads are machine washable. Wash them with similar colors and air dry. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
- Store Appliance: Wrap the power cord around the designated cable wraps on the handle. Store the steam mop in a cool, dry place.
- Descaling (Optional): If you notice a decrease in steam production over time, descaling may be necessary. Consult the manufacturer's website or customer support for specific descaling instructions.
