Safety Precautions and Usage Guidelines

Setup

Battery Installation

The My Weigh Triton T2 scale requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included. To install or replace batteries, locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale, open the cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.

Initial Placement

Place the scale on a firm, level, and stable surface, away from drafts, vibrations, and extreme temperature changes. This ensures optimal performance and accuracy.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Weighing Procedure

  1. Turn the scale on and wait for it to stabilize at '0.0'.
  2. Gently place the item to be weighed onto the center of the weighing platform.
  3. Read the stable weight displayed on the LCD screen.

Unit Conversion

The Triton T2 scale can display weight in multiple units. To change the weighing unit:

Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button (often labeled '-0-' or 'T'). The display will reset to '0.0'.
  3. Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the items.

Using the Expansion Tray

The scale's protective cover can be detached and inverted to serve as an expansion tray, providing a larger surface for weighing items. Simply open the cover fully, detach it, and place it upside down on the weighing platform.

Calibration

Calibration ensures the accuracy of your scale. A 100g calibration weight (not included) is required for this procedure.

  1. Turn the scale OFF and place it on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Press and hold the UNIT button, then press and release the ON/OFF button. The display will show the required calibration weight (e.g., '120.0g').
  3. Press the UNIT button again. The display will read 'CAL' and then '0.0'.
  4. Gently place the specified calibration weight (e.g., 100g or 120g, depending on the scale's prompt) onto the center of the weighing platform and wait for approximately 3 seconds.
  5. Press the UNIT button. The display should show 'PASS' and then return to '0.0'. Calibration is now complete. Remove the weight.
