1. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or heating base in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”, then remove plug from wall outlet.

• WARNING: The lid should be left unlocked while cooking. The locking lid mechanism is designed for transport only. Cooking with the lid locked can lead to overcooking and potential pressure buildup.
• This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

1. Carefully remove all packaging materials and documentation from the slow cooker.
2. Ensure all components are present: heating base, stoneware insert, and glass lid.

3.2 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean all parts that will come into contact with food:

• Wash the stoneware insert and glass lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Alternatively, these parts are dishwasher safe.
• Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water.

3.3 Placement

Place the slow cooker on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and curtains, to ensure proper ventilation during operation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

1. Place the stoneware insert into the heating base.
2. Add your ingredients to the stoneware insert.
3. Place the glass lid on top of the stoneware. Ensure the lid is NOT locked during cooking.
4. Plug the power cord into a 220V electrical outlet.
5. Select the desired cooking setting using the control dial:
• LOW: For slow, gentle cooking over an extended period (typically 6-8 hours).
• HIGH: For faster cooking (typically 3-4 hours).
• WARM: To keep cooked food at a serving temperature. Do not use the WARM setting for cooking.
6. Once cooking is complete, turn the control dial to the “OFF” position and unplug the slow cooker.

4.2 Using the Cook & Carry Feature

The Cook & Carry feature is designed for secure transportation of your cooked meal. It is crucial that the lid is only locked when transporting the slow cooker, not during the cooking process.

1. After cooking is complete and the slow cooker has cooled slightly, ensure the lid is properly seated on the stoneware.
2. Engage the lid-locking clips on both sides of the slow cooker by pulling them up and over the lid handle.
3. Use the integrated handles to carry the slow cooker.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Cleaning the Stoneware and Lid

The removable stoneware insert and glass lid are dishwasher safe. For hand washing:

• Allow the stoneware and lid to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wash with warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
• For stubborn food residue, soak the stoneware in warm, soapy water for a few hours before cleaning.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.

5.2 Cleaning the Heating Base

The heating base should never be immersed in water or other liquids.

• Ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cool.
• Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a soft, damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.

5.3 Storage

Store the slow cooker in a dry place. The stoneware insert and lid can be stored inside the heating base to save space.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Crock-Pot slow cooker, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

• Appliance not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functional electrical outlet and the control dial is set to either LOW, HIGH, or WARM.
• Food not cooking or cooking too slowly: Verify that the correct setting (LOW or HIGH) has been selected. Ensure the lid is properly seated on the stoneware. Cooking times can vary based on ingredients and initial temperature.
• Food cooking too fast or boiling: Ensure the lid is not locked during cooking. The locking mechanism is for transport only. If the lid is unlocked and food is still boiling on a LOW setting, reduce the cooking time or consider using a lower heat setting if available (this model has only Low/High/Warm).
• Stoneware appears discolored: Over time, some stoneware inserts may show minor discoloration. This is normal and does not affect performance or food safety.
• Lid does not seal properly: Check for any food debris or damage to the rubber gasket on the lid. Ensure the lid is correctly aligned on the stoneware.
